Welcome reception, featuring a talk by Swedish novelist Fredrik Ekelund about football in novels, followed by buffet dinner and wine. Sponsored by the Head of Department of Sport Sciences, Malmö University.

On offer is a smorgasbord of social activities in smaller groups, to be booked at onsite registration on an FCFS basis. All activities at cost price or free of charge. Confirmed activities so far:
- Participating in (or watching) a floorball game (Bo Carlsson)
- A leisurely swim in the sea followed by sauna, at the Ribersborg Kallbadhus (Aage Radmann)
- Participating in Tai chi chuan (Susanna Hedenborg)
- City walk in Malmö’s West Harbour Development, including the famous Turning Torso (Karin Book)
- Cocktails at the home of idrottforum.org’s editor (Kjell Eriksson)

Conference Banquet at the Old City Hall, free of charge, sponsored by the City of Malmö. To be booked with online registration.

All participants at the conference are offered the opportunity to see a football match in the women’s top division, between LdB FC, Malmö, and Jitex, Gothenburg starting at 16.00.
Following the match, there vill be a presentation of World Village of Women Sport, a multimillion center for women's sports, with research, conferences, seminars, actual sports etc., being built in Malmö to open in 2012.
